We built it into the dog flap. It's as good as a brand name. I ordered both so I have an extra one on hand and can continue to compare the two items. So far this one has been just as great and we haven't had any issues after a few months of use. Our dogs have access to the great outdoors practically 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so the dog door is very common. I would make this purchase again anytime.

We bought this dog door to use in our custom dog door we have on our window so it doesn't replace the damper in the frame that I bought became shop. It's strong and very heavy. The magnet on the bottom of the valve makes it more durable, but we ended up removing it (it can be removed and removed) to make it easier for our older dog to press the valve. The flap design is completely blank (no logo or markings on it)

Our old flap cracked, wouldn't close and just had to be replaced. Our first stop was a pet store, where a replacement panel costs more than the entire door originally cost, so we began looking for alternatives that would fit and work with the door. We found the Impresa and we liked that it's darker and even a bit thicker than the original. It fits perfectly and still holds up well with the mastiff, lab and staff going in and out!

I have had dog doors for years and have always replaced them with the original Petsafe ones. I have many dogs and they are large (Great Dane) so the door works. I usually always have to replace at least every 6 months. Didn't even know these existed. Saw these and ordered 2. Lots of money saved. It's only been 3 weeks but the quality is definitely as good as the others. The only difference is there's no logo, which is great because dirt collects around it. I have very big doors. Very satisfied!

Again I needed a new valve for my XL dog flap. They wear out about every year from my dogs exercise and I just adopted two puppies so I have four again now. I hope this new brand lasts a good year or longer like PetSafe. Out of the box it seemed really strong compared to the PetSafe. I also reinforce with nuts and washers to ensure they don't fail with constant use as this is a popular door. My only regret is that Xtreme Weather didn't have an XL for the winter. That would be a plus!

This is superior to the Pet Safe PAC 11-11040 replacement sheet. It's slightly thicker, the perfect length - doesn't require much adjustment, and is slightly wider. I've had several spare Pet Safe Flats and they were never wide enough. It fits perfectly. I was so disappointed with the Pet Safe Panels. This valve is very durable, much stronger than the original. While I like that it's thicker, it's a little tight at the opening so it doesn't close completely on the sides after my dogs have walked through. But because it's thicker, the wind doesn't make it wobble like the originals. It wasn't difficult to remove the original doors, but it was difficult to install them yourself (I have two doors). I needed someone to hold the lid up to the holes while I screwed in the 6 screws. Having no help I
