Instant manual remote control of my ceiling fan

The remote control works great with my ceiling fan that I had to buy a year ago. I installed a 9 volt battery, connected the dip switches to the ceiling fan receiver and now I have full control of the backlight and on/off fan speed without using a wall mounted remote.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small house
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Multiple devices have the same model number but are not the same.

After ordering and setting up the correct controller for my fan I have to say it works much better than the original controller when new. The problem I had was that multiple controllers have the same model number and look the same, but they don't control the same things. You must ensure that the device you order has the same functionality as your old device.

Short lived... in Ceiling Fans & Accessories

Bought this replacement remote. Set the DIP switches to match your old remote and it will work faster than opening the box! I really liked the remote control, all the buttons worked on it. From August to November. The bottom light button now has a mind of its own. When pressed, the light does not come on... but then it comes! I've decided to return/exchange but it seems the return window has expired and I can't find any warranty information on the website. So $15 for cheap price is not…

Exact replacement for the discontinued Hunter remote

It took me a while to figure this out but this is the perfect replacement for the discontinued Hunter remote. By the way, Hunter's customer service turned out to be useless. Their only solution was to offer me a discount on a brand new ceiling fan when all I needed was a new remote control which they no longer provided. They don't support their products like they did many years ago. If they had cared at all about what was best for customers they would have put in this very remote control I…

Works perfectly as described.

The remote worked perfectly and controlled all the functions the buttons are marked for. Please note that there is no reverse button to change the direction of the fan. I didn't notice it, but I can't remember the last time I changed the direction of the fan. The only problem with my old UC7078T was that many of the buttons stopped working. It was easy for me to fix. I simply removed the soft rubber button membrane from the new one and inserted it into my old one. The old one works great now…
