Eagleggo 4040 Replacement Humidifier Solenoid Valve for Aprilaire, Part No. B2015-S85, 24V, 2.3W, 60Hz Review

The valve opens when power is applied, but then stays open even after power is removed. It only closes after the inlet water pressure has been relieved.

Because this was a replacement for an existing humidifier solenoid valve, installation was relatively easy. I really appreciated the sintered metal filter that came with the kit as this is my first time owning one.

Fits my humidifier and works great all winter. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is that it's a lot louder than the factory speaker. It seems to have gotten better after 4 months of use, it's a subtle clicking now but after unpacking I could hear it rattling around the house.

The valve came exactly as pictured. Installation wasn't difficult if you have a basic understanding of copper fittings as there are different types. I took the valve to a hardware store just to compare the threads as in my setup the old valve was different between the two sides. Everything went well, the valve works perfectly.

This solenoid is an easy replacement for my Aprilaire whole house humidifier. These valves last about three years. This comes with one input screen installed and another as a spare. Good price, works great but no instructions. Before replacing, be sure to turn off the furnace and close the humidifier water supply valve.

Looks nice. Installation was easy and has worked great so far. Make sure the tiny strainer is in the water so it can catch any particles that might clog your system. I also strongly recommend that you replace the inner manifold gasket and the plastic frame at the same time. especially the water hose to the humidifier.

Had to contact a stove company because my humidifier was so noisy. They wanted to charge me over $150 for this part and installation. I asked the guy if I could just buy it myself after checking out Revain and seeing the price. I bought it and installed it - very easy assembly and the part fits perfectly. No problem. Definitely save your money and swap it out.

I noticed my humidifier stopped working because the water baffle inside was bone dry even with the knob turned all the way out. After testing the 24V adapter that powers the solenoid with a voltmeter, I saw that it does indeed provide power when the oven is turned on, so I figured it was a bad solenoid.
