As Good As The Brand Name

Perfect for my Kitchen Aid fridge. They are cheaper than big brands but work just as well. We haven't had any issues with them and this is my second set of 3. Will buy again in a year and a half when I need 3 packs again (replace every 6 months).

Good filters available.

Filters work like man and woman, I haven't noticed any odd taste in water or ice. Fits a little lighter than the original that came with the fridge and doesn't leak at all. It's hard to find locally, and when you do, it costs $40-$50 apiece. My Kenmore fridge has side doors and the filter is on the outside bottom left. Still works very well for a 15 year old device.

Great Product and Vendor

Satisfied with the page; Helped me a lot to figure out which filter fits in my fridge. Have used the product in the past and have been satisfied. But I didn't keep the box or materials of my last filter or the filter offered by the manufacturer. But after finding this page/link I found that the description did all the research for me. Perfect for an old Whirlpool fridge!

I was very impressed by the price. I didn't think I could afford a pack of 3 water filters. Last time I bought it at a hardware store it was about $45. I never felt like the last filter I bought fit right. My brother in law replaced it with a new one. He also said he thought it wasn't installed properly. This fits like a glove and now I have fresh filtered water! Thank you for a great product and fresh water! I love it!

Not all water filters designed to replace 4396508 will fit

I was looking for a cheaper replacement filter 4396508 for my old Whirlpool ED5VHGXML10 fridge and settled on this one. Out of the box, the IcePure water filter looked just like my Clear Choice ClCH100 water filter, but when I tried to twist it a quarter turn to hold the filter in place, it never turned. A closer look at the heads reveals slight variations. But these minor changes stopped my filter from curling. I had to return it and get my original Clear Choice CLCH100 water filter.

Don't buy an 08 filter and think it will clean the water. Climb 09 or 10 for family safety.

Unfortunately, the Revain description does not match the manufacturer's information. Revain's description says that this filter removes a lot of contaminants (to improve taste) in addition to chlorine. The specification that came with the filter only lists chlorine. After doing a little research I found out that filters ending in 08 are for chlorine only. Filters ending in 09 or 10 will filter out all heavy metal contaminants, as well as viruses, drugs and other substances you do not want in…

DOES NOT FIT EDR5RXD1

I bought a 3 component filter and thought I installed the filter correctly - this isn't the first time I've changed the water filter. Even if it seemed a little easy. I had a service technician for another issue and he showed me that the filter wasn't installed at all because the shape of the plastic catch on the filter didn't allow it to fit fully into the slot, so it was that "easy". To install. The middle band in the "E" in the image prevents this filter from being installed as a replacement
