Works great! Just insert the battery and enjoy! And putting the battery in is not difficult at all, believe me! This remote control is actually better and stronger than the original.

It's good that they included a battery but you think opening the cover to pick up the battery would be easier. Instead, you have to use a coin to pry open the plastic battery cover, causing the plastic cover to come loose.

I saw some negative reviews for this product but took a chance to read the positive ones. Yes, the battery cover is a little tricky. Just click to the left (counterclockwise) and then pry it up with a razor blade and pry it off. This works great with my Bose Sound Dock Series II.

I'm trying to open one of these battery doors on the third try. Plastic is like butter, it falls off instantly! Instead of sending it back after taking it off, oh what did you do, I superglued the coin and was able to open it. The only problem is that I now have coin super glue on the remote control.

Inherited a ten year old Bose Sound Dock 10 but lost the remote when moving. Customize like the original. Accessing the battery is easy, the battery (CR-2032) is included and can be replaced almost anywhere if needed.

Remote control works well, but? The part where you insert a coin to open the battery compartment is very soft. As soon as I put the coin in and twisted the lid to open it, it melted as if the coin was red hot. It took a while to open it, I tried it with a screwdriver and two or three different sized coins. I was about to return it when I finally opened it but the lid was damaged.

Not sure if this would work, but after washing my original Bose Sounddock II controller I was willing to pay $12 to try and get the function back ! Pulled out of the box, simply inserted the battery and Boom! It works great and actually offers MORE volume options (not as drastic changes with each +/- press) than the original! Very impressive!
