🐠 XY-380 Replacement Sponge Filters: Pack of 2 - Efficient Aquarium Filtration Solution Review

Bought these to replace the crappy sponges that came with the filter. This 9ne is easy to clean and doesn't get dirty like the previous one. Much more porous. Happy fish and a clean aquarium.

I used 1" PVC for the air line and an air stone for the filter. I did not purchase this as a replacement. The sponges are doing their job as I had hoped .My homemade filter system.

Replacement sponge at a good price. The sponge is not too thin so it doesn't clog easily. It is quite durable and well withstands both mechanical and biofiltration. Very good.

I have used this sponge on my Marineland Emperor 400 to prevent shrimp and fish from being sucked in. I cut off one side, made a slit in one end and stuffed the other end with styrofoam. The slot allows you to place it over the basket. Works perfectly.

Over time they fell apart and became stiff. They didn't last very long like other sponges. I use sponges with attachments, not air stones. They work well with air stones but I feel they lack quality because the original Batco Surge sponges lasted much, much longer.

Why buy a new filter when you can just replace the foam. This is a high quality that matches the quality of the original filters. Save tons of money and get great filtering. I like to use them with HOB or Canister. Not only are they great for beneficial bacteria, but they're also a great hiding place for measles, plexuses, and small fish.
