Straight Bolt for 2000 Tacoma

Ordered this for my 2000 Tacoma. Installation was easy and there were no problems. I hope You are fine. I can say it's not as solid as the OEM grip but it works fine. The price was great.

Fits Perfectly.: Body and Trim

This is a good replacement for the broken 1st generation Toyota Tacoma trunk handle. It was very easy to install. Lubricate all moving parts of the replacement handle and the inside of the tailgate to keep this replacement handle working smoothly. 10 of these pens are still cheaper than 1 OEM replacement!

it's good enough for now.

Fine. For the price I won't complain too much about how it fits properly. I have Taco 03 and I didn't install it properly. It's shaped to look like it should. I'll seal it somehow because of the salt and rust factor. And experience has shown that they don't stop here, at least because of the weather conditions. And I plan to strengthen the work stress zone somehow. But throwing a hundred for one with me won't work either. So I guess it depends on how you view your relationship with your car…

Wish they had mounting screws

Wish this handle came with mounting screws. I suspect people buy this part because their part is broken and/or rusted. I'd rather have two mounting bolts as a set than reuse an existing one which due to rust will stick to the old nuts pretty well. And the nuts aren't hex, they're pressed in, so it's hard to grab them without destroying things. In any case, make sure you carefully remove the old screws so that they can be reused. Otherwise, the handle is of very good quality and will easily last
