    Sheath body is too wide

    My son is medium height maybe even skinny at 9 years old. I got an 8/10, he was huge but the hands were perfect. My son said it looked like a drop and refused to wear it. Also the hood said/shows gray and it came black (we ordered dark blue).

    The jacket is beautiful and very warm!

    My son loves this coat. The hood was actually black, not gray as pictured. I think black looks better so that was good. My son gets all sorts of compliments at school and it makes him feel good. Also very comfortable and warm. Excellent purchase!

    Great quality, great price

    I had to buy a coat for my little one who was going north. The quality and features of the coat matched the weather conditions perfectly. This article is probably a repeat purchase.

    Nice coat but heavy

    This coat looks very nice but my 12 year old doesn't like it. He says it's too heavy for the shoulders and his movements are limited in the shoulder area. I ordered him size 14/16. He is about 5 feet tall and weighs 97 pounds. We live in Southern California so he is not used to heavy coats but we are traveling to Europe and need a warm jacket.

    Great tailcoat: my rating

    I love that the pea jacket looked adorable on my grandson, can't wait for the holidays for him to wear it. I tried to buy another one for another grandson but couldn't find the size.

    • I want it to come in my size. Good fabric and my son looks great for going to church.

    • The weight and bulkiness of a coat can make it uncomfortable or impractical for more active boys who like to run or play outdoor sports.

    Warm with a classic look

    My son loves this coat. Fits well, keeps you warm, looks good and was a great price. The hood/sweatshirt is not detachable from the coat but still looks great and my son loves it. The overall quality is good and I recommend this product. My average height son is 13 years old, 5'4" and weighs 125 pounds.

    Buttons look good to me

    Look this jacket is great and it's very warm so basically it's perfect. However, be prepared to reinforce the buttons once you get them as they fall out of the box. I knew that was going to happen, so I was prepared for it, and I don't really care. It would be nice if this wasn't a mandatory step that the customer has to do. As this is still an issue I will give 4 stars if the jacket is really worth 5 stars except for the button issue.

    • I liked how thick and heavy the coat was, but one of the buttons fell off after my son tried it on.

    Everything would be fine, but the buttons are sewn terribly.

    3 buttons fell off after 1 use: 1 main button, 2 decorative buttons (no function). I ended up spending more on buying matching buttons (there were no spares on the jacket) and on sewing and reinforcing existing buttons.

    You see this jacket is beautiful and very warm so basically perfect. However, be prepared to reinforce the buttons once you get them as they fall out of the box.     Very warm coat.

    Bought for church tails and the like. I really like the pea coat look and the wool makes it very warm and cozy. However, I only have a light gray hood. Doesn't match the rest of the coat. If they had to add a hood, firstly it would have to be black to match the black coat and/or secondly it would have to be zip-detachable, no rocket science. I bought this because after asking about the lining and hood as with many coats is zip off and as it is advertised as a 3 season coat someone said yes but…
