The thickness surprised me more than I thought, there are grippers on the bottom to grab the rug if any. One thing to be aware of is that they are difficult to roll out. Rolling them out requires putting on at least 3 heavy paint cans overnight, which is very helpful. For your information

I used it on the carpet in the bedroom where there are many people. It's thicker than my old one. The downside is the thickness makes it difficult to trim, but the upside is the thickness makes it stick. My old one was thinner and I could feel and see the vinyl moving under my feet and I had to put it back where I wanted. I really like this thicker one because I don't have to. I will buy it again.
