I have two desks in my office and I keep tripping over the gap between the two rug protectors I had. It was pretty tight when it arrived so I spread it out and put something heavy on each end to straighten it for a couple of hours. It worked. It's flexible, so if you use it on medium to deep pile carpet, your chair's casters will likely sink. I have, but it's not so bad that I can't drive the chair. I like swirls because they're funnier than a plain rug, but you have to look straight at them to see them, and that's fine. I love this chair mat and would recommend it. If anything changes in how this rug works I will come back to update my review.
