VERY flimsy, but can be fixed.

I received and put this together and noticed major flaws for outdoor use. It's incredibly light and flimsy, and barely touching the roof will cause a cave-in. I felt it might fly away with a decent wind (even with them under a porch), so I added a spare concrete block inside the house, and placed the pillow over it. If you do buy these, be aware they are not made to be remotely sturdy, and a wind can pick up the house, or at the very least scaring the cat to not use it. Lowes sells the concrete

Pros
  • NA
Cons
  • It may not be durable enough to withstand harsh weather conditions

Use for Ferrell Kitty

It works OK for ferrell kitty. The thin piece of plastic that goes on top of the roof to "weatherproof" is really a joke. We put the house under a pick-nick table to try to keep most of the rain off. Also had to elevate on 2" x 4" boards to keep out the water. We have on a cement slab so the tie downs are useless. We inserted several bricks inside under pad to keep from being blown away. Still, overall considering the low cost, it is a good product.

Pros
  • Easy to assemble.
Cons
  • May not stay warm during severe winter weather

Keeps my cat dry good for me

This was easy to set up. I like that it doesn't sit directly in the floor and has little feet so when it rains the bottom isn't getting wet or sitting in water. We live in a rainy state and my cat spends his nights on the back porch which isn't covered. This has helped me not worry about him. It stays dry and does what it says. I've been using it for a few months now and it's still like new. It also helps during some of the colder nights too. I'm glad he has some shelter not besides under the…

Pros
  • Rest-Eazzzy
Cons
  • May not be sturdy enough for large and active cats

Feral kittens are now warm

We have feral baby kittens in our complex. We bought this shelter and placed it where mama is seen with babies. Mama and babies now snuggle in this shelter and we have time to find homes for our new tenants.

Pros
  • September 9, 2022
Cons
  • Not all cats will feel sheltered or protected in this enclosure

Perfect size - my new review

Perfect for a feral cat I've been feeding. The top is tied down because it's only held by velcro. (Thats why only 4 stars) I was afraid the wind would rip it off. I put straw in it for extra warmth. The cat loves it and it's out of the rain/snow. Well worth the money.

Pros
  • This cat house is made from high-quality materials that are durable and long-lasting
Cons
  • The shelter may become a breeding ground for fleas and ticks if not cleaned regularly

Cats are Immediately Attracted to Them!

We purchased this one along with others to give cover for those stray/previously feral cats. HUGE hit! There are cats that won't go inside or in a large dog house - but this one was great for them! We plan to order more!

Pros
  • I just wish it was a bit larger. Easy to assemble and sturdy.
Cons
  • There may not be enough ventilation in warm weather conditions, posing a serious health risk to cats

Good product for the money.

I added extra insulation and a cushion to the bottom of the house for extra comfort. It also needs to set on something solid and slightly elevated to keep the bottom of the house dry. It's a good product for the money.

Pros
  • The Rest-Eazzzy Cat House protects outdoor cats from predators, keeping them safe and secure
Cons
  • The material may quickly deteriorate, leading to a costly replacement

Great item, especially for the price.

Very easy to assemble. Comfortable and warm and dry, especially for my kitty that won't come in the house. That's my feedback.

Pros
  • Fácil de armar, muy bonita y bien acogedora para mi gata trae colchón.muy bonita.
Cons
  • May not blend with the surroundings, leading to an unappealing appearance

Left t for my outdoor cat

The first product I received had a missing piece. I contacted the seller and they immediately sent out a replacement. They were very responsive and quick to send the replacement. When I received the replacement it was perfect. It’s easy to assemble and my cat loves it.

Pros
  • Could add a wArmed inner pad.
Cons
  • It was returned needed something heavier

Good product for the price.

I read the reviews before purchasing so I knew this wasn’t a well insulated house but with a little tweeking, it can work well. I used the house inside of a rubber tote that I insulated and we are now ready for a cold winter. I have one feral cat that will use it.

Pros
  • The grey canopy design lends a stylish look to this cat house that blends seamlessly with any outdoor environment
Cons
  • Not very versatile, limited in its usefulness

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not worth the price

As you can see the waterproof is a bag that goes over the top. The top attaches to the body with Velcro and it doesn’t line up properly. If we weren’t expecting extremely cold weather I would have returned them but I added a small blanket inside and am adding blankets over the top to help protect them. For $30 you would have thought they were constructed better

Pros
  • The sturdy construction of this cat house ensures that it stays in place and never blows away in the wind
Cons
  • May require additional supplementation, such as a heating pad, to be effective in cold weather

Very small, not meant for outdoors

The bed is ok, but there's no way this can be used outside, it would get soaked inside if it rained. It's also very small. I bought this a feral cat for inside my garage. An 8 pound cat can barely fit in this. Your better off using a foam cooler with straw.

Pros
  • The insulation of this cat house ensures that it stays cool in the summer, making it a comfortable place for cats to relax during hot weather
Cons
  • May make it challenging for people to move around the area where the shelter is placed

Escape hatch on my review.

Someone, who shall remain nameless, impulsively bought this little house for the stray cats in the neighborhood to keep warm in the Florida winter. Well, they slept in it at first but when they figured it out that there wasn't a good way to escape predators, they don't use it anymore. Find one with two doors, front and back.

Pros
  • Keep our cat out of wind.
Cons
  • It may attract fleas to the area

Outdoor Cat Comfort

The opening could have been a little wider since my feral cat is a big boy. I just put it together in the last 24 hours so I don’t know whether he will use it or not. Was very easy to assemble & seems to be somewhat sturdy. I put an extra blanket inside for extra warmth. It does look good in my backyard. I only pray that my feral cat will utilize this outside cat house for protection from cold weather, rain & snow.

Pros
  • With the included mat and clip, this cat house offers additional comfort and security to the cats
Cons
  • May block natural light for cats

Terrific product good for me

This is a wonderful cat house for strays & ferals. We live where it snows an this house allows you to add a towel or small blanket & still allows room for a cat.

Pros
  • Adding a cat house to your outdoor space can reduce the likelihood of cats damaging your property or causing a nuisance
Cons
  • The shelter may leave a patch of dirt in the ground, making it unpleasant to look at

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Flimsy at best in my review

If you can put the house somewhere under a roof, like a covered porch, then maybe it's good. But after one snow of like 4 inches, the entire house smushed. Lame.

Pros
  • The large size of this cat house can accommodate multiple cats, making it perfect for feral cat colonies
Cons
  • The shelter may not remain clean and hygienic if waste and urine are not regularly removed

This House Is the Cats’ Meow

We had a stray cat in our yard for a couple of years before deciding to get this little home for her. It did take a while to lure her into the house but she uses it almost every day. The pegs to tie the house down have been working in the cold and windy conditions. The inside does get wet and stays wet if your cat goes in there after a storm, so sometimes drying or airing it out helps and gives them a dry/cozy place to stay. The house is small enough for any yard/space and doesn’t require much…

Pros
  • super easy to assemble
Cons
  • Not solar-powered, it may increase electricity costs if used with a heat source

Nice and Easy Cat House

My cats immediately got in the house. We put it on a shelf in my husband’s work shed attached to our house because the cats go in there during cold weather. Easy to assemble and sturdy material. Appears weatherproof

Pros
  • Cat Houses & Condos
Cons
  • It may harbor fleas, which can be a health hazard for cats and humans
