The fabric has changed for the worse.

Still good case quality with zipper protection but the fabric has changed. It has a silkier hand and doesn't seem to "grab" enough for caterpillars. I have found my cats have a hard time forming a suitable button out of their silk to support them. I had an accident with a fallen Jay and had to reinforce other dolls. The silk rug when I take them off to move is sparse at best. I would consider this user error, but many people in my Monarch group are complaining about the same issue. I'm not sure

The best butterfly cages on the market

Butterfly cages are inherently fragile. Having bought cells from different brands over the years, I have come to the conclusion that RestCloud is the best. Why? RestCloud strengthens the flash better than other manufacturers. Since the butterfly cage zippers are opened and cleaned hundreds of times during the butterfly growing season, the zipper is the key to hassle-free maintenance. I've never had any issues with RestCloud flash crashes or breaks. As I said, all of those mesh butterfly cages…

Good product suitable for training and education

I like growing monarchs and have tried other chains which have been fine. I like this one because of the special section of the zipper that allows you to open and close it even if a pupa has formed next to the zipper. The clean side is actually not that clear. I usually leave the zipper unzipped to look inside until I see the caterpillar getting big enough to pupate, or I see it start to travel. They won't leave the Spurge until they're ready for the next stage. It's a good product, just wish…

12 " RESTCLOUD Butterfly Habitat Cage is very good for Gulf Fritillaries

We have a large monarch habitat but we use this small one for Gulf Fritillaries. We have purple passion plants outside where the butterflies lay their eggs. I put soil in a double curd container, add water, then cut the leaves off the passionflower vine (we can't put a large vine in the habitat. Leaves feel great when stuck in the dirt. We bring Caterpillars, often on a leaf, and put them in a container, sticking the petiole into the watery mud. While they are eating leaves, we stick new…

Small door but great quality

I am a Monarch breeder and wanted this little cube for the tiny little crumbs I hatch from an egg (1st year). I always use a thin makeup brush to gently move them to the little pot of euphorbia as quickly as possible so they do their thing and don't bother me. The plant I use is small, they don't need much in 1st and 2nd instar. The door to the apartment is REALLY small. I had to move around the plant to avoid accidentally knocking one of my little leaves off the leaf. If you want to use it to…

Ideal! The tracks are thriving and easy to use and maintain!

This suitcase is SO easy to use. What I like best is that the caterpillars feel comfortable in it. My previous attempts to support them have been unsuccessful. With this fence, I like being able to watch them through a large clear window that is an entire wall. I can access it easily because the entire mesh wall is a door with a two-way zip, so you can close it either way. and the caterpillars are successfully attached to the mesh cover and the pupae can be observed hatching. The grandchildren…

Embarrassing appearance upon arrival. The circle becomes a square!

I have a 15.7 x 15.7 x 24 inch Habitat. I thought I received the wrong item. It was a circle. It looked like a stacked little cylindrical living space that this company actually sells. I didn't open the transparent packaging because I was so sure. I ordered a replacement and received the same one. Then I ordered another one that hasn't arrived yet. My monarch caterpillar is getting bigger and I was worried that I wouldn't have the right habitat for it, so I decided to use the "small"…
