I like growing monarchs and have tried other chains which have been fine. I like this one because of the special section of the zipper that allows you to open and close it even if a pupa has formed next to the zipper. The clean side is actually not that clear. I usually leave the zipper unzipped to look inside until I see the caterpillar getting big enough to pupate, or I see it start to travel. This suitcase is SO easy to use. What I like best is that the caterpillars feel comfortable in it. My previous attempts to support them have been unsuccessful.
