I like that this full zip cover is easy to install. The upper is made of terry cloth material, soft under typical linens. There is a breathable fabric around the entire mattress that is tightly woven and somewhat tacky. The waterproof material (plastic?) makes no noise when you toss and turn and keeps you up at night. I didn't notice any chemical smells either. After researching many mattress pad options I am very satisfied with this product.

This product looks as described. It has a cotton terry finish with a waterproof backing. I also purchased protective pillowcases for this product. As described, they certainly appear to be breathable and they don't make you warm, the person sleeping on them won't know they're there. They also don't make any noise or "wrinkle" when you move around in bed. I'm a senior plus and there were no problems getting dressed, I juggled a bit. I am happy with the purchase.

I installed this cover on a brand new (and quite expensive) Stearns & Foster mattress/spring assembly that arrived today. The mattress/box spring (except for the matching 5" S&F base, which I also purchased in the kit but did not box separately) is 13.5" deep according to the S&F label. This measurement was 100% correct based on my own measurements using a tape measure. The case fits like a glove. VERY TIGHT but still able to close it with the usual attention.
