I installed this cover on a brand new (and quite expensive) Stearns & Foster mattress/spring assembly that arrived today. The mattress/box spring (except for the matching 5" S&F base, which I also purchased in the kit but did not box separately) is 13.5" deep according to the S&F label. This measurement was 100% correct based on my own measurements using a tape measure. The case fits like a glove. VERY TIGHT but still able to close it with the usual attention. That's exactly what I was hoping for when ordering. Because I hate bed sheets of any kind that are loose fitting. In that regard, I couldn't be happier. If my new mattress were 1/2 inch thicker, closing the cover without breaking the zipper would be a problem. This queen size cover is designed to fit a 15 inch thick mattress. However, after seeing how snugly this mattress fits my 13.5" mattress, I figured a 15" thick mattress might be problematic and potentially cause the zipper to break. I offer this comment to those trying to determine the best size to buy. I don't know how well the case will work, but time will tell. I don't have a problem with bed bugs and that's why I didn't buy it. Bought it for the waterproof/stain/leak resistance instead. Adds a waterproof mattress topper for a double layer of protection. Any stain will void your mattress warranty, so take extra care in this regard, especially if you're spending a lot of money on a new set. And the last remark. The cover material (cotton terry cloth) corresponds to that declared. It feels very nice (and very soft) - and I can already tell (never used it) that it will be dead quiet. If this bothers you, rest assured that the ads are accurate in this regard. I don't usually write product reviews. And I wasn't paid to write that. Rather, this product was exactly what I was looking for in the points mentioned. And I wanted to offer a completely unbiased take on the "fitness problem" for anyone with the same issues as me.
