The voice is clear, even with my hearing problems!

I'm a ham radio but my wife isn't and only has a radio so I bought these to keep in touch with my wife while I'm on the other end of our 37th birthday hectare of land work. The quality of the voice coming out of the speaker is very clear, which is very important for me as I have hearing problems.

Pros
  • Great value for money
Cons
  • Not sure

A great way to keep in touch across a large area.

Husband asked for a walkie-talkie for Christmas. Firstly, because he liked to play with gadgets, and secondly, because we are elderly people in a fairly large house with no buildings. So that we know what happened. He was very impressed with these radios and worked to find the right channel and code words for us to use.

Pros
  • Practical thing
Cons
  • Little things

Available in the US and unlicensed.

We were looking for a low cost radio that is compatible with the US without a license and this one fits the bill. As long as they meet our needs. Cause only four starts. The charger has only one USB port. In some places we need to add a USB converter so that we can easily plug the charger into an outlet. They are solidly built and sound clarity is fine.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Angry

Available in the US and unlicensed.

We were looking for an inexpensive unlicensed US compatible radio and this fitted the bill. As long as they meet our needs. Cause only four starts. The charger has only one USB port. Fancy walkie-talkies are the best radios

I even saw good reviews of this walkie-talkie on YouTube. I used to use mid-range radios and Motorola family radios. They were way better compared to those radios. We used it to communicate between cars during a trip. During the entire trip, the radio had such a short range. You said less than a mile. I've had about 6 car lengths and it's not bad. But then more. It is static and cannot be retrieved. Motorola and Midland had at least 2-3 miles exceeding these radios. All of these radios were…

These radios offer good value for money

These radios offer good value for money. You won't achieve, but maybe miles in severe mountainous terrain and even less for urban areas. I bought them when we travel with a group of cars so everyone is connected to some degree. This works well for this purpose as long as the front and rear cars aren't too far apart. My only real complaint is the instructions - or lack thereof. The instructions are not very clear and if you lose them, you will find it difficult to understand some of the…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Expandable

We use them at our own expense with Retevis RT22 (16ch) and some much more expensive Motorola radios. I'm a big fan of Motorola in the commercial radio space, but I can attest that they work just as well as a few Motorola FRS units we've tried. And a pair of Motorola devices costs as much as four of them, and in some cases more. The range of these RT27 devices is slightly better than that of the RT22. This may be partly due to the longer external antenna, partly to the stronger and clearer…
