Retro Clean 89865 Wash 1 Pound Review

LOVE the retro wash. I buy a lot from thrift stores and also wear a lot of vintage clothes, so the clothes can sometimes have a *um* vintage smell. Haha! This detergent is great for whitening vintage fabrics and also helps with odors. Sometimes I soak stubborn stains or smelly things in the washing machine for 20 minutes before washing and the result is great! A little goes a long way, so read the instructions!

Found a blanket my grandmother made in 1955. It was torn at the edge and the colors weren't what I remembered. Appearance was yellow-peachy. A dear friend replaced the hem and told me about this product recommended by a woman in her 80's that will bring my duvet back to life. After all the reviews I was very hopeful, I wanted it on a 1950's lace cotton nightgown and a 1950's cotton and silk wedding dress use for years. Both were yellowed and the wedding dress had very little dirt on the bottom hem. I followed the instructions exactly, even after 24 hours of soaking after changing the water, the dress still looks the same. I don't think it even lightened the yellow by 10%.
