After all the reviews I was very hopeful, I wanted it on a 1950's lace cotton nightgown and a 1950's cotton and silk wedding dress use for years. Both were yellowed and the wedding dress had very little dirt on the bottom hem. I followed the instructions exactly, even after 24 hours of soaking after changing the water, the dress still looks the same. I don't think it even lightened the yellow by 10%. The nightgown is a little whiter, but I think that's only because I finally said forget it and poured some real Tide on the nightgown. He didn't even remove the dust from the hem of the cotton lining of the wedding dress. Very disappointing and now I have to wash it again with something else which is frustrating because soaking a vintage piece for 24 hours already takes a toll on the fibers and lace. I think lucky people got lucky no matter what cleaning product they used and simply attributed the success to that particular product. I've been restoring vintage items for years, this was the least effective washing method I've encountered which is odd given the incredible reviews.
