Problems booting from SSD

This is a great product but it uses a JMicron JMS578 USB3/SATA Bridge to SSD Adapter and requires UAS to be disabled or quirks used to remove from to boot the SSD for it to work. The JMS578 also has scatter/gather issues, and disabling UAS also disables TRIM. Would like to see an updated version of this product with a different USB3/SATA bridge. Great product if you don't intend to boot from an SSD.

I'm not sure how it got such a high rating.

The included HDMI cable was defective and was causing visible lines on my monitor, which was resolved by replacing the cable. MicroSD card failed Raspberry Pi diagnostic scan out of the box. and I had to use a different one. The body itself is well built. Unfortunately, this causes interference in the 2.4GHz band, which limits your Wi-Fi settings to only 5GHz, and issues with my 2.4GHz wireless mouse. Finally, the screwdriver that came with it was a flathead, but all the screws are Phillips. I…

Perfect little case for my emulator system. All inclusive except Pi!

Was relatively easy to build. I had trouble installing Retropie and never figured it out. Went with another option but that's not the fault of the case itself. The materials are frankly very well made and I'm blown away by what you can get for $45. Even the controllers, while not amazing, are still very playable. You should know that Retropie and other variants support Bluetooth controllers. My mind was blown when I discovered this. But it really opens up your possibilities. You won't regret…

Nostalgia in a beautiful starter kit

Great starter pack for my retro arcade game system. With all the necessary components in the box and some time to download and set up, I was able to give my kids the 8 and 16 bit experience I had as a kid. Sure, these games don't have the killer graphics or multiplayer that modern games have, but what's the point of beating your best friend in this race if you can't dance and laugh in his face because he's sitting next to you? You? And why is it so easy with save points every 5 minutes when you

Fantastic retro case for Pi 4 Model B

This case is very well made and very easy to use. addressed here with this Pi 4 Model B case. Warning about removing the micro SD card before installing the Pi (clearly written on a separate sheet which you must remove to do this - hard to miss), screws and parts are clearly labelled and easily identifiable, and also excellent build quality. And all of that in nothing more than a latest-generation retro suitcase. The safe shutdown scripts and working power and reset buttons are still there, and

So far so good

I've had this case for a few months now. really enjoy it Installing the Pi is effortless. A few spots where the internal wires are a little tight, but still manageable. I haven't had any major problems with it so far. For now I've only used it for basic emulation and wasn't worried about heat. The reason I couldn't give this 5 stars is because the case, maybe the fan/heat sync position, isn't working. Seems to prevent me from using wifi or bluetooth. I had a spare nano wifi adapter and am able…

Absolute retro PERFECTION.

This case is awesome! And if your patient is very easy to put together then like I said I messed mine up with impatience, the wires on what I bought looked like they had to go in one direction, they were twisted back and seemed to fit right, found out (after i put my glasses on) they were backwards and i walked them so i messed up mine of course! When I turn the safe on/off it is constantly on and the LED is off, when I turn it off the LED is on and turns on/off and the reset works fine but I…

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Transparency

Good for a start. case looks great. However, some details with a mention. The assembly was a bit fiddly. You have to be careful not to damage anything when trying to fit the internal USB cables into the Pi. This could have been avoided with shorter cables and angled plugs. When everything is assembled, you can see the sideways pressure that a connector puts on the USB 3 Pi port. The fan is a nice touch, but there's no thermal interface between its shell and the chips, just sticky pads. Without…
