If you don't want the very rough sides that make up most of the file's surface, then it's not worth it. I don't know when you're going to use them, unless maybe you're using acrylic paints? If you're looking for a simple 4-track file, this won't work. Once you smooth the nail, a slight slip will cause the nail to transition to the adjacent ROUGH side and destroy it. I hate that.

They did not come in the retail packaging as advertised in the photos but in a plastic carrying case. Pocket. And all fell apart. There is an issue with the glue sticking to the outer buff and the thin sawdust pads wrapped around the side edges. Very poor quality control. I like them a lot because of the 6 surfaces. With natural nails, the white side is ideal for shortening. Then light blue and pink perfectly smooth the edges. I get a nice shine from the dark blue and purple sides of the polish. I actually use it a lot on my little one - the light blue is strong enough to file those little nails. This is a great all in one file and buffer. I'm giving 3 stars because it doesn't last as long as the one I bought 10 years ago (yes, 10!). You can no longer find these in stores. It doesn't take that long, but it's one of the best buffers and files I've tried, and I've tried a lot of them. Definitely a good buy for the price but if you've used it this year be aware it won't last as long as it used to.

Let's start by saying that this nail file doesn't last long with regular use, which suits me quite well as it's cheap. I usually have to change it about once a month. I like the versatility and the presence of all the necessary grains on one nail file. I have a higher grit that I use when I need to file a very long nail, but other than that I use this file for everything. I love it!
