I bought a 2 inch hair straightener. I have shoulder length hair that is naturally thick and wavy. Part of the comb often came off partially and another 1-3 times completely, but other than that it did its job quite well and combed my hair. It straightened my hair really well, I still had to run the flat iron a few times over each section and my hair smelled slightly burnt but not as bad as my last flat iron. I have naturally curly hair and taming it can be a chore. I wanted a new flat iron but didn't want to spend. Great news! I love this flat iron. Heats up quickly, you can choose the temperature. Judging by the photo, it does its job well. I am very happy. (Note: my husband loves the auto shut off)

I won't lie. Then I tried everything from $15 to $200. From steam to vibrating irons. Most are great in their own way, some are terrible. This is one of the best I've had on my course thick frizzy curly hair. I really wanted to like this hair straightener. The reviews were excellent, I was excited to try it and to be honest I was blown away the first time I used it! But this is where it begins and ends. I didn't get the chance to straighten my hair like the first time. Now that I use it; and that doesn't mean I'll have it forever, I literally bought it, maybe 2 weeks ago if ever; but now my hair is just frizzy and frizzy and it's only making things worse. Terrible. I chose 2" with shorter blades than 1-1/2" with longer blades. I figured a 2 inch skein would flatten each skein faster, and I was right! If I chose 1-1/2 inches I don't think I would be comfortable putting that much hair in such a long panel. The comb attachment is my favorite! Do not buy. Not a good product. It ruined my wife's curls and burned her hair. My wife works in a salon and is a professional hairstylist so she knows how to use it, but the product we received was defective and damaged her hair to such an extent that her curls never recovered. It overheats during use and the temperature control doesn't work.

I bought this iron in September after my Chi died and I don't miss it one bit. This is my favorite hair product - at all costs. I thought I had to post something when I saw this in the March issue of Ebony.
