Almost perfect for fish and aquatic animals

I bought this diffuser to use in my DIY system for 2 liter bottles. At first my system didn't have enough pressure to fill the chamber with CO2 enough for it to start bubbling, but after I redid my mix and added some more yeast there was enough pressure for it to work. The only downside is the lack of an included suction cup, but I suppose it's easy to find if you need it.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

It has been used.? best air pump accessory

The packaging clearly stated that there were two suction cups but there was only one and it didn't fit. The clip is not big enough. The diffuser was no longer in the packaging as it should have been. It may have come loose upon delivery or may have been opened earlier. Anyway, I currently need to siliconize some of the other suction cups I had on the diffuser and I will try that in 48 hours once the silicon has set. So I plugged that in and it doesn't work. As if the diffuser were too narrow. I

Looks great but couldn't get it to work

I didn't like this taper. I use this with a homemade yeast CO2 source. I'm not sure if my reactor just isn't producing enough CO2 to build enough pressure or something, but I just can't get my CO2 to flow through this thing. My reactor produces 0.5-1 bps and every time I try to connect it to my CO2 line the flow stops completely. Even when I tried to blow air through the reactor with my mouth, I couldn't get any flow through it. I gave these three stars because I openly admit that I don't know…

Looks quite good, but makes a howling noise when switched on.

This is for a 5 gallon diffuser. Looks good but makes a rattling noise when working. I get a finer mist from my linden diffuser, so I'll probably come back to that. In addition, this diffuser requires a significantly higher pressure than my basswood diffuser. Edit: After dithering for a while, I'm upgrading it to 4 stars. It constantly produces tiny little bubbles unless the river overflows it. Basswood no longer seems to release tiny bubbles when the flow exceeds negligible amounts. The…

Works well and won't break the bank

I have a couple of these to add some carbon dioxide to a couple of my tanks. are excellent for handicrafts and are inexpensive. They work for a pressurized one too, but if you're going to spend money on a pressurized one, I'd probably spend a little more for a better one. one seems to spit out bigger bubbles than the other. When it comes time to recharge my yeast setup I will soak them in bleach. This usually seems to open them up a bit more and give the CO2 more escape routes. Let the bleach…

Impressed with the value.

This is my original review, I will update if my opinion changes. I was very surprised at how small the bubbles were on a diffuser at this price point. I use a pressure system, not a home made one, at 15psi working pressure. I'm a fan of this design and you can easily see the bubbles going through the diffuser as I can check it out at a glance without having to go under the stand to check the one on the regulator. This was purchased after I broke a more expensive diffuser because I needed…
