Believe it or not we bought this in place of a deflector to put on the bird feeder post to keep the squirrels off the feeder. Some are smarter than others. Although it helped a little. We attached it to the top of the pole and let it hang down.

Don't let the picture fool you. This isn't gold. I see there was no color choice but I believe you should get the advertised color on the picture in the ad. They should only have a silver image if that's all they have to offer.

It's fun to watch the squirrels climb. You just can't do it, and it's perfectly safe. Squirrels still get many of the leftover seeds that the birds drop on the ground. The perfect system! They found out a few months later, but it's still fun to watch.

I bought this to keep squirrels off my bird feeder. I work like a champ. An unexpected bonus is that it also seems to scare away a rat that used to visit the feeder. The product I received is a blue metal mini slinky. Regular sized Slinks wouldn't fit either.

This is a very small item and does not look like the picture at all. We got a silver one and after reading the questions section I found that while they show colors they only sell silver and don't even have colored ones. I'm disappointed that I gave my money to a dishonest person and also disappointed that my nephew thinks that sucks.

The product is cheap, not suitable for children. We got it for our bird feeder, but before that our little one wanted to play with it a bit. After about 5 minutes of play, her hands were blue. The color is very cheap. I took it from her and decided to use it on the bird feeder anyway and just twirled it on the pole for 2 minutes and my hands turned blue again. Serves only one purpose for now.

This is exactly what I was looking for - a metal coil spring that attaches to a bird feeder post to repel squirrels. It's perfect for my needs (I made it so I could use an existing pole connector to hang it, but I could also attach it with a zip tie or something). That being said - if you're buying this as a skinny fit, be aware that it's a little smaller in diameter than you think, and you may want to get a slightly more expensive (but wider) model.
