THIS PAPER IS VERY VERY BAD!

I don't understand what special magic fountain pens and magic ink they use?!?!?! BECAUSE THIS PAPER IS VERY VERY VERY BAD! I have over 100 fountain pens and over 200 inkwells and I always buy TOMOE RIVER magazines. I dared and went there an hour ago to write. so badly feathered that I winced. So I changed the pen and ink. The same thing. again. same. I'm a full-time professional artist and have about 20 different pens with different inks on hand. All the feathers are so bad I threw them in the…

Longtime Rhodia fan

I rotate between different magazine makers depending on my mood, but I always love coming back to Rhodia. I like smooth deluxe paper. And it makes me want to write and keep writing. I like the black hardcover because the back pages are also black and it's fun to write quotes or text with a white gel pen. Yes, I'm a freak! I'm also inspired to draw, use stickers, and stick on various photos and other memorabilia. The A5 format is by far my favorite for journaling. The only thing I would change…

Exquisite Clairefontaine paper in a very handy notebook

Wow. As a new fountain pen user, I've read all the praise for Clairefontaine, but didn't feel the need to try it. Well, I've recently found that I don't journal very often because I don't always carry my big journal with me. So I decided to try something smaller to increase my post frequency. This little 3.5" x 5.5" Webbie notebook is perfect for everyone, and for $13 online with free 2-day Prime shipping, it's a great deal. The paper is REFINEDLY smooth and the ink of my pens blends…

What happened? on stationery and school supplies

I'm confused. I have purchased this item in the past and it was different, better in many ways. Observations: It used to say "Made in France" on the packaging, but now the country of origin is nowhere to be found. This is the most embarrassing. are they chinese The pouch used to have ribs of fabric; now they are paper. Cheaper option. Lines on paper used to be lighter, thinner. The softer the better. The logo embossing on the cover is dirtier, not as crisp - you can see the small TM symbol on…

Recommended notebook for everyday use

Overall I really enjoy writing with this notebook, the paper is smooth, silky and writes well. a bit, which can be a little annoying when you're writing on the back of the same page. I mostly write with pen and pencil, not gel. It does a great job with glare. Pages also become brittle when in contact with regular tape. If you've ever taped something or accidentally dropped a piece of tape, chances are it will rip the page when you remove it. Depending on the type of ink, if alcohol (hand…

This paper is terrible.

I've been using these Rhodia orange A5 hardcover notebooks for writing in my fountain pen collection for a while. I loved every one of them. Everything else was fine and my pens wrote smoothly and evenly with no dragging. The paper in this magazine looks the same as the paper in previous Rhodia A5s, but it is NOT. At first I thought something suddenly happened to my pens. So I've tried them on blank space in previous Rhodias and they write great in them, as well as in a Rhodia wired notebook…

Best in Class: Themed Notebooks

As an avid Moleskine fan, I can't believe I could love any other product more. I finally found this product, Rhodia Webnotebook, also known as "Webbie". I've used Rhodia notebooks in the past and I really like the paper, although it's not exactly the same paper as Rhodia notebooks it's still fantastic (90g matte velum, ivory paper) and writes very similarly, beautifully and smooth. I started writing with fountain pens last year and my only complaint with using a Moleskine product is that every…
