This is amazing! I wouldn't recommend this if you have your own car and aren't traveling, but we don't have a car and we travel. So we can travel without having to think about a car seat. We used to not be able to go to the zoo because I don't carry a 20 pound car seat and a baby all day. But now we can. I am so thankful for this opportunity!

So portable and very easy to understand! However, make sure your seat belt is buckled (we pull ours all the way out and then let it retract while we carefully slide the seat belt over our kids) otherwise it just isn't secure. The gate had no problem checking our vests in their bags at the airport, but I brought a printout showing they matched a car seat in case they wanted to charge us for extra luggage.

We use it for our 3 year old when we take an Uber and sit next to him. Works perfectly. He's a rogue, so he can unbuckle the seatbelt from metal buckles or unbuckle the seatbelt himself: that's why we don't use him for a long drive in the rental car when we're not around him (learned through practice!). Works great. Much more comfortable than spending hours in a wheelchair on long roads. My son is paralyzed. There is no head or body control and I can still use them. I have to support his sides so he doesn't lean to one side or the other. We also recline the seat a bit so he doesn't tilt his head forward. My 5 year old husband is 41# and 42" tall and enjoys this. We took it to Central America and had no luck in some rental cars - no ratcheting seat belts, no LATCH belt for the forward-facing seats. But this thing is still installed correctly, as per the manufacturer's requirements! It fits and is comfortable for my child.
