Ridgid VF4000 Standard Filter - White Review

My vacuum requires a VF4000 filter. This is a remanufactured generic OEM part. It is designed to work with devices that have a ball or threaded stud. If you have a ball stud, just insert it. filter cover. Reinstall the filter and tighten the nut securely. Instructions are clearly printed on the packaging.

i think it works fine - it fits. I checked twice and thrice but it still doesn't match my model. The design of the old filter and this one has changed, so this one doesn't fit. I partially pinched it so I could use the machine, but I don't think it's of any use. The white parts of the filter were slightly wrinkled on one side - I believe due to transport.

I have an old HARD 5 HP 12 gallon shop vacuum. The local stores didn't have replacement filters so I ordered them. This is a genuine EXACT replacement at a reasonable price. They have also been improved so that the old locking plates are no longer needed. In extreme cases, you can clean the filter from dust and debris and use it for some time.

So I had to order another one after this one failed after 10 months of minimal use. I literally use my vacuum cleaner about 10 times a year. I was about to remove the filter to clean the canister and the rubber detached from the paper filter rendering it unusable. I've just ordered another one against my better judgment and will update this review when I have better luck.

Works well but someone is making a lot of money. Compare that to your car's oil filter, which you can buy at Walmart for $3 to $5, and add some more paper, probably $0.05 to $0.10. This is a beater for all filters, including the filter you buy to "file" the water you put in your fridge. And they all make them different, so you need to buy them and buy a paper filter for your air conditioner. Think about it!

Our Ridgid Wet/Dry must be around 20 years old and although we cleaned the old filter I figured it was time to get a new vacuum. Then I saw the filters on Revain, read the reviews and decided to try this one. Well, the bottom of the filter was oval rather than round, but with some effort my husband fitted it into the vacuum. Fits perfectly and saved us money on a new vacuum cleaner purchase. It's always worth checking out Revain first.

I should just auto deliver them because they are awesome! I'd love to try the reusable wet/dry version, but it's cheaper and I'm seriously not interested in cleaning the weird filter after vacuuming up dirt and debris. They work well depending on the type of things you're vacuuming. Large parts tend to get stuck in the folds, while fine dust tends to slip through and be thrown out through the opening.
