Works great with saddlebag

Works great with my Mazda 5 Van. It took a little while to set everything up the first time, but with these clips, the installation took less than a few minutes.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Not bad

Satisfied customer: Trunk parts and accessories

Used them on a cargo saddlebag. Driven more than 2000 km. Couldn't ask for a better item for the money. The bag hung on the back of the van and held up very well. No slipping or bouncing.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Not all will fit

They fit the Rightline Gear saddlebag. They are wider.

Fits Rightline Gear saddlebags. They are wider than other car roof clamps. They are attached directly to the roof of the tailgate. (We have a Mazda 5). They don't move and remain safe throughout our 600 mile drive.

Pros
  • Easy-to-read control panel
Cons
  • Nothing here

Worked on a Mazda 5

The hooks did not bend or the plastic cover splintered after driving 1500 miles at just over the recommended maximum weight. It is possible that this will damage the rear of the IMO hatch (due to saddlebag weight and road vibrations). Placing the bottom of the saddlebag on the bumper greatly reduces the risk of damage. It didn't damage our 2010 Mazda 5 at all. We've used a non-slip fabric to protect surfaces from abrasion, but that might be overdoing it.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

BENT INTO SHAPE - DO NOT BUY!

If I couldn't give this one any stars I would. This item has been used with a car backpack and the backpack has not been overloaded. The clips are soft metal and one is fully bent, causing one side of the pack to detach. The strap that runs in the hatch and around the bag was the only thing holding the bag on that side and thankfully it did. The one that didn't bend fully was partially bent and was very difficult to close use. I wish I never got it. In the end, on the road and in trouble, I…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
