💦 High-Performance Rio 26HF HyperFlow Water Pump - 1590 GPH Review

I replaced an 8 year old RIO3100 (about 930g/h) with this one. It's surprisingly smaller. The big downside to this is that it's very noisy and vibrates my whole tank. Not sure about the flow, it's more powerful than my 3100 but I have no way of measuring it. I can replace it with something else.

Better price than online competitors. The pump is good but a bit noisy. I suggest having a backup. When one stops, take it out, disassemble it, and soak it in vinegar. It should be like new in a few hours. Assuming it's used in salt water and the problem is limescale. Otherwise, acetic acid may not help. Either way, you don't want your pump to die and be stuck without a replacement, so I'd suggest 2.

After using the same Rio 26HF pump 24/7 for several years, it would not start after a power failure. I ordered this again because it was a very good pump. I love that Revain is offering me free shipping or in this case fast shipping for a reasonable price. It has a great current for a carp pond. All you have to do is match the pump size to the number of gallons in your pond. If you want to keep the water in a carp pond clean you need a higher capacity pump like this.
