I was trying to dye some of the white fleece I needed to make the belly, arms and ears of a Sonic the Hedgehog costume for my son. I couldn't find the right color in fabric stores and read that fleece can be dyed with synthetic dyes. Enter Rit Daimore. Well it was crap. Good to excellent with three colors, with Rit Dyemore. It contains an acid dye that is effective as it dyes nylon well in a rich, deep color (regular Rit dye also contains an acid dye and will dye nylon, but this is a much better choice if you are dyeing nylon). When I first used Dyemore I didn't add vinegar as is normally required for use with acid dyes, whether it's dying nylon, wool or other animal fibres.
