I still don't understand what's going on, but I think I have two problems: 1. When a cable is plugged into both of the two inputs, there is an awful digital fuzz that's a bit quieter than the audio goes through them. It doesn't matter which ports you use or what's plugged into them. Tried 10 cables, many audio devices, all on different ports. Same problem.2. The volume control requires a lot of effort for the first 75% of the volume. The last 25% spins slightly, but anything below 75% is 100%…

Works perfectly! in Accessories and Supplies

I have a strange computer configuration. I have a tower computer connected to a TV and a Macbook. The speakers I use are literally large stereo speakers that I bought over 15 years ago. So my PC is for gaming and my Mac is for work. That being said, I wanted to be able to use my good but old stereo speakers on BOTH computers without having to fiddle with cables all the time. I tried an audio cable splitter but the audio was muted. my mac would be fine, but my pc would be pretty quiet, even at…

Perfect for my home office

I've been using a docking station and USB switch for years to easily switch between a work laptop and a home computer. I couldn't find an inexpensive audio solution because I could run two audio cables and manually switch the audio source, although this usually involved moving monitors and other awkward tasks. Thanks to working from home due to Covid alone this has become more painful so I decided to look again for a solution and it was available. It justified my excitement to find that…

Pros
  • A mute button; very handy in special environments
Cons
  • Low maintainability

THIS is the one you want to get. Believe me.

This is what I wanted when I was looking for a way to switch my headphones between two laptops running high quality audio editing/sequencing software. I actually bought two different cables, the other arrived the day before and I was frustrated because I hadn't thought of adding a 1/8" (3.5mm) cable with a male to male audio jack I had one, but needed the other to plug into the output jacks of both MacBooks in the box, with my headphones facing the front. The first box was relatively sleek…
