🔨 RoadPro RPTT-1 Wooden Tire Thumper: 19-Inch, Assorted Dark or Light Wood for Effective Testing Review

This tire tester is not made of durable wood as advertised. Is it poplar or pine. The first picture shows a tear (fatal defect) from a knot during the first inspection. Second photo after sanding to see what kind of wood. Pay a few euros and buy something better.

The item was received with a huge crack running the full length of the bottom thick part of the hammer (looked almost cracked in half). There were also traces of shavings under the handle on the tree. I returned the item immediately! I remember several other reviews with the same cracked/split wood issue, so this doesn't appear to be an isolated case.

Just received. I opened the package and looked for another one. There was only 1 in the box, I went back to my order. The picture shows 2. The description should have been read. Seems sturdy enough but wanted 2. Would have bought a set of 2 elsewhere for the same price. :( Feeling a little decided but also my fault. I felt bad for my first review so I came back to say it's pretty solid.

I bought this for my brother for Christmas. It was on his wish list and obviously he thinks a zombie apocalypse is upon us and this will help him get there. It was shipped quickly. It can be seen that the wood is very high quality and strong. It was a little wrinkled when it arrived but I think if you use it for its intended purpose it will be a little wrinkled. November 10, 2020 Received a tire service yesterday. I took it to work and the second (2nd) tire I tap on breaks the grip. It broke through! Nice looking but soft wood, poplar? Pine?, by no means a hardwood as stated in some reviews. The first one received had chipped in a few places and was replaced by Revain and looked fine but again lacks density and chips easily, dents if you drop it, use it, store it etc. Stamp points to Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania . , but the UPC label clearly says "Made in China". I love this item. I use it for two purposes. One I drive on trailers so I use it as a tire changer and two I use for protection. My co-workers always give me trouble because it looks like it could do harm.
