I was pleasantly surprised at how EASY this beautiful 3D puzzle was to put together. The curriculum was also very easy to understand. Assembling small houses can be a challenge for someone with thumbs; Instead, you can try using tweezers. I will definitely buy another one (as a gift).

This was the first wooden puzzle I ever assembled. It was really great. I finished it in under an hour and it holds up to play with a 3 year old. The pieces are a bit fragile so be careful when assembling, but they give a few extra pieces in case part of the tree breaks. I bought a second one from this company and am looking forward to assembling it.

It may be useful for an adult to carefully and patiently separate the pieces of this puzzle from the templates. Some parts are small and very thin. Make sure the instructions are followed carefully and in the correct order. Also, some parts of the assembly process require patience and steady hands to avoid damaging the parts. My 9 year old son used this ferris wheel as a prop for the wax museum school project where he was the inventor of the ferris wheel. He assembled everything himself and loved it. It's quite sturdy having been in his room (which he shares with his 7 year old brother) for over a month and still looks brand new. It spins smoothly by hand, and the cars on it all hang freely and move as they should while it spins.

My dad used to build everything himself. As he got older he turned to things he liked and could still do, like building dolls houses. But now he is 89 years old and still has to build something. So I got that for him. In this way he can work on the project with all the materials provided. He was able to take his time and build a Ferris wheel with his own hands. This is an extremely thin and fragile wooden puzzle. Many of the cuts are not quite correct, requiring either sanding or a lot of effort to join them.
