Used with Raspberry Pi and Retro Pie - works great

I need a controller for my Raspberry Pi 3 that I'm running RetroPie on, a classic gaming interface that allows the user to play many different retro systems can. It's highly configurable in EmulationStation and works well with the emulators I've tried it with (Atari 2600, Videopac/Odyssey 2, ColecoVision, NES, Amiga). The only annoying thing about it is that the D-pad doesn't work very well if you want to use diagonals. This is because the D-Pad itself is only shaped with 4 main directions: up,

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Some bugs

The controller works great and I like it, but there is one big catch - the product image on the thumbnail clearly shows that it has a vibration (in the palms it almost looks like a small metal fan) but the packaged product does not roar. Vibration components are completely missing! I've never been a huge fan of controller vibration, so I'm not really upset, but it's a completely missing part of the controller that buyers should be aware of. And yes, the package was 100% sealed and unopenedโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Was damaged

One of the best 360 controllers (updated 12/3/2020)

I bought this particular 360 controller a few years ago. It took me quite a while before I had any problems with it. The second one I recently ordered started great with no issues. I've had 3 other 360 controllers since I replaced my last Rock Candy controller and they all either started to phantom or the buttons stopped working within a few months. So this one has been a much better option compared to several others so far. Highly recommended if you need a new 360 controller for console or PCโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Without automatic controls

Stops working after 3 weeks

I don't have an Xbox but wanted a good controller for PC gaming. Since it was an Xbox 360 controller officially licensed by Microsoft, it fitted the bill perfectly. ADVANTAGES: Inexpensive. Officially licensed by Microsoft. The transparent case has a pleasing appearance. Compatible with most PC games. CheapWired so you don't have to deal with connection issues or worry about input lag. CONS: No hum. The main image on the Revain page shows a controller with vibration motors, but it's actuallyโ€ฆ

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Only available in black

As good as a $50 controller.

In the last two years I have bought four Microsoft branded controllers for between $40 and $80. They all showed analog stick failure within a few weeks of purchase. In some games it doesn't matter, but if you're an FPS addict, joysticks that drift or have dead zones will completely ruin the experience. So after Microsoft failed four times in a row, I decided to save money. This joystick replaced my dedicated Halo controller which lost its ability to "go backwards" after just a month of use. Myโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
