Killed my amp best in automotive and automotive electronics

Connected the subwoofer exactly as in the picture. This fried my amp due to a short circuit. Didn't think before. But I followed the instructions. Now I don't have an amp to try out my new sub. Not very happy about that

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Hard to say

Not 2 ohms😞 but still great

The sub sounds great and appears to be great quality but. It reads 3.2 ohms on the multimeter and when I try to connect it to 1 ohm it reads 2.3 (I tried different multimeters hoping mine would read wrong but unfortunately they all say the same thing) , so I can not get full power from my amp . . But at least it's still knocking.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Excellent subwoofer, suitable for cars and automotive electronics

These subwoofers really pack a punch! I hook up two of these to a 6000w dB15 Rockville amp and they work great. It's amazing how big the magnets are on it and how much air they move. I use them on the party bus and every time I rent them, customers tell me how good the sound system is. I would recommend Rockville amps and speakers to anyone.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Functionality

Cheesus Christ for Automotive Electronics

I have an infinite baffle firing through an OEM ski pass in a 2005 Lexus is300, it bangs hard with an RMS gain that's just under 500w 2 ohms is set. Before that I had a Kicker L5 Square 12. Rockville K6 only sounds better but now the whole car shakes. The entire Rockville system with a 5 channel Rockville Phenom amplifier powering everything (7 speakers). All in Rockville, all legal and verified by friends.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Good but not great

Pleasantly surprised

I have a couple of Rockville amps and was really impressed so I figured what the heck for the price I'd try the K9 subwoofer. For what these subs can do, the price is absolutely outrageous. Rockville is JK's next kicker and donation. Try products there that will captivate you. It's amazing to see a company making a competitive product at affordable prices, very refreshing. The company is a real kick in the balls of the industry. Definitely looking for a great consumer product

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons

Great sub at a fraction of the cost

To be honest I was skeptical about installing anything other than Alpine, I've been into car audio since 1998 and EVERYTHING I've ever used, was Alpine. I got married and had better things to spend money and time on. But audiophiles have gone nowhere. I also took the old type R 12, made a box, connected the Alpins and off we went. However, I didn't have the extra money to spend on a new Alpine subwoofer, so I started checking out a few YouTube channels and they reviewed Rockville. A REAL honest

Pros
  • Black reinforcement stitch cone for durability. New dust cap made of durable polypropylene (PP). Impedance: Two 2 ohm voice coils. The ventilated hole on the T-Strap improves heat dissipation. Special custom made rubber covers with magnets keep the woofer looking nice and P
Cons
  • No Instructions

Disappointed even before I opened the box!

The product description mentions that the wire is made in the USA. Someone asked where it was made in the USA. Ask. Then Then they pointed out that the cable is made in the USA. They COMPLETELY ignored the original question! False advertising? No. Deliberate deception? YES! to send it back. I didn't want to spend 1/6 of the purchase price on fuel to get it to to have nearest UPS store deliver it. I opened it up and one of the plugs on one of the negative posts has come loose so much that you…

Pros
  • 66 oz high quality dual magnet. The die-cast aluminum basket with a black brushed finish makes this subwoofer very efficient and lightweight. Two Chrome Terminal Blocks (These are the best terminals on the market, they accept all gauges of wire
Cons
  • Some errors

Great money shot!

I have a single 12k9 d2 speaker in a 2.2 cu ft enclosure tuned to about 33 Hz and a Rockford Prime 750 (820 W actual output ) operates. The thing bangs! I have sag on all 4 doors. If you can find a subwoofer for less than $115 that ships to me that can do it, I'm all ears. It's also built like a tank. I recently installed a pair of Sundown Sa 12's and to be honest they have the same build quality. It's hard to compare the sound between the 2 because the sunset setting was double 12 but I think…

Pros
  • Black unpressed paper bag with a beautiful finish. Our cones are super stiff. They are thicker and more powerful than other subwoofers on the market, allowing our subwoofers to handle more power. . Thick foam surround sound delivers incredible sound quality with minimal disto
Cons
  • reliability

Comparable to my Skar Audio EVL-15 subwoofer!?!

I've been with Rockville Binge since I bought their dB45 quad amp a few months ago, and I really like how it works! I recently built a new subwoofer for my car to install a Skar Audio EVL-15 DVC 2ohm subwoofer and since that also recommends 1250 RMS I ended up replacing my old Kenwood amp with a Rockville RDX-M4 1500 -Amplifier RMS x 1 ohm replaced As an aside I've been playing this subwoofer/amplifier for a freaking month now and am very happy with its sound. So I needed a second 15" sub for…

Pros
  • Rockville W65K9D2 Car Subwoofer 6.5" 1400W CEA Compliant Dual 2 ohm Subwoofer
Cons
  • Available in black only
