Type of review

Bought for my EOS M3 camera, mainly for astrophotography and landscape photography. I also take a few infrared landscape photos. This works well for the above tasks. It's fairly sharp, small, relatively light and the build quality doesn't disappoint either. But one of the most common downsides I've read in other reviews is that the infinity focus isn't where it should be, and it isn't. Mine is a little later than the line marked on the lens barrel. Best budget lens

I bought it for my EOS M5. The photos are incredible. Sharp, low coma, little distortion, even wide open at f2. This lens is great for astrophotography with such a large aperture. The Milky Way is a composite of three wide open landscapes at ISO 1600 at 20 seconds in the Mojave Desert on a clear day but the bright moon was to the right. . The Joshua Tree was shot at f/2.8, ISO 1250 and a shutter speed of 20 seconds. I don't remember the aperture of the rest, but they were shot in the f5.6 - f8…

Pros
  • Great design

5/5 Considering the price

This lens offers good value for money. I've attached a real estate video that I filmed on it. As well as a few test shots that play with the depth of field. I use this on CANON M50. In general, I'm not very experienced. Captures sharp images/videos like any decent prime lens. The f/2 aperture offers a decent depth of field, but due to the 12mm focal length, it focuses on a very wide area, so you have to get pretty close. to achieve the desired effect. This is manual focus. This has caused some…
