Bought for my EOS M3 camera, mainly for astrophotography and landscape photography. I also take a few infrared landscape photos. This works well for the above tasks. It's fairly sharp, small, relatively light and the build quality doesn't disappoint either. But one of the most common downsides I've read in other reviews is that the infinity focus isn't where it should be, and it isn't. Mine is a little later than the line marked on the lens barrel. Not a big deal, but if you try to rely on it at night it could be a problem. Aside from that, this is not very good for infrared photography (the camera does not convert with a filter); There is a very noticeable hotspot in the center of the image when in use. Other than that, it's a great third-party lens for the EOS camera system.
