I consider myself a semi-professional photographer and this lens is now a great addition to Canon's RF lens collection. While it doesn't have autofocus, I don't really miss it, and the R-series' peak focusing is very useful. It takes really great pictures - I was impressed with the clarity of the image. I am a professional real estate photographer and have previously used a Canon EF 17-40mm F/4 L or Sigma 12-24mm F/4 ART because of their width. The problem with both of these lenses is that they are heavy, the Canon was lighter than the Sigma but not as wide either. I often have to photograph the back of houses with very short backyards.
