Great starter kit fits and finish is first class. My advice: be sure to read the instructions before assembling to familiarize yourself with the details and symbols that will speed up assembly.

This little solar powered rover was so much fun! This was the second wooden puzzle I bought for my 88 year old father to keep him busy during the cold winter days. It was so nice for him to watch him roll down the sidewalk into the sun! I will always appreciate this. Now it's time to buy #4.

My 5 year old son loves the Spirit Rover so I took it and built it myself. I broke a front leg while assembling, then broke the other leg on the second day, no one sat or stepped on it, and my daughter always plays gently. Most parts connect well, except for the base of the solar panel which keeps falling off. For $20 I expect a more durable product, at least for more than a day.

There are some natural weak points in the wood grooves, so we broke the tin while collecting. The wires are also a bit stiff so the part that holds the solar panel doesn't hold up. The back doesn't fit either. I tried to check all the reasons why it doesn't fit but found nothing. Often falls off. My only request is that the parts be boxed after they are die cut because die cutting is such a delicate and risky process.

This product is excellent. Assembling is a pleasure but there is a problem with the instructions. As if the printer ran out of ink. The illustrations are too blurry to read well. A magnifying glass and bright light are required to read the print/illustration. The production should really make it easier to watch. Otherwise we had a lot of fun building the Navitad Rover. This assessment also applies to the Rover Vagabond. A darker print would be a big improvement.

This is the second brand of wooden model kits I've tried and I was disappointed. The wood was thin and poorly laminated so the pieces broke easily when pulled out and the laser cut wasn't as smooth as it should be. It comes with extra small parts that are needed as some of them break (but it doesn't tell you which parts are extra like other brands do). Solar power works as long as it's bright and fun. The tiny screws weren't as difficult as expected, and the tiny screwdriver has a magnetic end…

The instructions were a bit confusing at times due to the symbols used, but that's only because the symbol legend was hidden in a less visible area. Other than that, the actual assembly was pretty easy. They have all the parts well labeled and even give you extra parts in case one of them breaks. However I bought 2 of these and one didn't have wood glue and the other didn't have sandpaper so I took off a star for that. The wood is of very good quality and actually smells very nice and earthy…

I've built other Rokr models but the truck was a real project. Especially around the cockpit windows, tabs and joints that were very difficult to assemble finally gave up, cut off most of the tabs and reached for the glue. The same fate befell many other parts. In addition, despite providing you with tools and illustrations to assemble it, and disassembling and reassembling it twice, the drive still did not line up on the drive axis.
