Works great with AC adapters

Great adapter. I switched from hardline to PC to this wireless connection. With this adapter, I went from 55 Mbps wired to 35 Mbps, which is far beyond my expectations considering I ran my wireless router throughout the house. Get a good USB extender to place away from your PC for better reception.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

It didn't work as a replacement while I was waiting.

It didn't work very well as a backup while waiting for an ethernet cable to be run to my room in my old house. I experienced ping spikes while gaming, which is very bad for competitive FPS games. However, I am now using it on a Raspberry Pi and it works great for that.

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.

Worked mostly as expected, but there were some .

Worked as expected for the most part, but had some issues where it just stopped working and I had to unplug and plug it back in. I tried clicking the button as suggested by one of the other reviews but that didn't help. However, this thing is very cheap, otherwise works as advertised and might be worth a little effort if you're looking to save some cash.

Works flawlessly and effortlessly

Great value for a quality wireless adapter. Easy install on an old Windows XP machine I repurposed for a friend. Stable signal, high speed. It just works and it's that simple. What else can you ask? Another reviewer noted that it's a bit thick, which can cause bottlenecks around a couple of adjacent USB ports. However, a USB extension cable is also included in the scope of delivery, which allows for more flexibility in placement and also solves possible bottlenecks.

Pros
  • Great value for money
Cons
  • Large and bulky

Surprisingly good in the computer and accessories category

Just plug it in and it works, even without software installation (at least for me). What frustrated me was that after my Vista computer went to sleep, it didn't recognize the device as soon as I woke it up. As if the adapter wasn't plugged in at all. I had to unplug it and plug it back in before the computer saw it. Luckily I found a small button on the adapter. I pressed "On" (probably since there are no ads), and now the adapter sees the PC even after sleeping and waking up. I'm only giving…

Short life but cheap

I bought this device in search of a cheap wireless adapter because I'm tired of spending $60 on an expensive and deteriorating Linksys or Netgear adapter. a random range - decent range for the price (I'm seeing about 20 wi-fi connections right now, half of which are on full bands) antenna - comes with an antenna (just wanted to save people time posting a question) .*Disadvantages*Connection - After about 5 months of use, the connection always breaks off. So I have to unplug and plug back in…

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Long delivery time
