This grater is a piece of junk. Grating Parmesan cheese left weird black marks on the cheese, and by the time I finished grating, my fingers were covered in black marks — like wearing a cheap ring that stains your finger black. The supposed "stainless steel" was so thin that it wobbled in use and was malleable like plastic. Be careful and do not buy this product.

I was so excited to try this but beware the handle, at least on the right hand side, is hanging on the grater. This is great for shredding a lot of cheese but you have to work at not scratching your knuckles on it, maybe they should be further away from the rest? Otherwise it's a nice little tool, but I just as often reach for the traditional cheese graters we have on hand.

Received my cheese grater today, washed it and then started grating a hard block of parmesan into a white bowl. Upon closer inspection, I saw small gray flakes in the bowl. These are bits of metal that are coming off the grinding part of the grater. Absolutely awful, someone could have eaten it. I washed the grater again and tried again with a fresh piece of cheese, I had the same problem with a gray film on the top of the cheese where the hand presses on the cheese. This is a security issue.

My grandmother had a grater like this. It was so old that it started to rust. I bought it because it had different sized barrels for cutting. I used it to cut up potatoes for au gratin and for breakfast. I've grated cheese several times. Unfortunately for me it is difficult to keep it closed and rotate the barrel. The potatoes weren't bad, but trying to grate the parmasan was harder than I'd like. It looks good and seems very durable. But I find I have to squeeze it really hard for it to rub…

I have a hard time cleaning this grater on the edges where the metal tabs are bent over the handle. The construction is also poor. The handle on one of the graters fell off after a few normal uses. The lever that presses the cheese against the body of the grater is also quite weak, making it difficult to press hard cheese against the body. I was hoping this grater would be of better quality. Today I contacted the seller to replace the barrel of the grater. I will wait for the seller's reply…
