👕 Rothco Children's Ranger Vest Review

I bought this vest for my son's (7 year old) Halloween costume to dress up as Owen from Jurassic World. He didn't want to wear it because it was black instead of brown like Owen's vest in the movie. However, this is a really nice vest with lots of pockets and cool gizmos that will come in handy on summer camping and fishing trips.

This vest is beautifully finished and built to last. Tailoring is ok. It can be washed. It has pockets and looks like a bulletproof vest. My grandson uses it to play SWAT. He sometimes pretends to be Steve McGarrett from Hawaii Five O. Very happy with it. This is the third vest we have bought. We started small, then medium and then this big. I hope he outgrows the fake before he outgrows this big vest.

I wanted a lightweight vest with lots of pockets and a zip hood that I could wear to baseball games (where we now have metal detectors and are already searching pockets). These are exactly the same vests but the tag is different. Surprisingly (at least for me) the XL size for boys was slightly larger…
