A bit small, good for backpacks

This bag has good quality fabric and stitching, but it runs very small. I was expecting something similar to a tech bag. It's more of a day pack. However, I intend to keep it and add it to my setup.

Very authentic, very solid

Rothco hit the mark. Either a home run or a flop. This item is very very authentic in Vietnam. Close to the real deal. I have a real one and this one is pretty good. Of course, the genuine original is best, but sometimes moths and mold get in the way, so it's good to have a Rothco reproduction. Very durable, very well built.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • No performance

The balaclava does not look like the original ALICE military stock.

Balaclava non-waterproof (made of rubberized material like the original military buttpad). Also, the liner cannot be fixed tightly as it cannot be laced up, it has to be rolled up or rolled up into a package. Those are the only reasons I gave this stock a 4-star rating. Otherwise it serves its purpose for me.

Rothco GI Buttpack matches everyday backpacks

Great value backpack, more than I thought it would be. A little thin but we'll see how it holds up. Goes great with my gear and I can't wait to hit it on the range. I plan to use it for additional medical equipment storage and storage such as magazine loaders, gloves, ear defenders and shooting glasses. As it's big enough to fit these things.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Nothing here

Better for cosplayers or airsoft gear than field use

I used this one on a hunting trip and had to make changes, the straps wear out and don't go back to the buckles so I add tape to the ends. Although they have metal grommets on the straps, they have fallen off leaving a frayed, exposed strap that is difficult to close once opened. The bag can hold a lot of gear but I would keep it light. The straps that hold the belt clips look flimsy too, I babysit this bag and really retired it as I don't think it will last many more trips. It would be ideal…

I do not recommend. More movie props.

5 minutes after I tried it, one of the metal parts at the end of the strap came loose. I didn't pull hard or anything, it just popped out. It comes with ALICE clips and can be hung on my radio backpack. It hasn't seen any real use yet and is already broken. I will update this review in about 15-20 days and tell you how it worked in the 12 hour airsoft game I wanted to continue. After my 12 hour event I can say with certainty that this product is not intended for heavy use. Both metal tips came…

Not bad, but the olive gray color needs interpretation.

Bought to make motorcycle cases. I have a butt bag that I bought about 15 years ago and thought it would look good. I noticed that the olive gray shade they have is different and slightly different from the picture, it's more brownish. Both are different from my M-65 field jacket and other military backpacks I have, so I'm guessing each company has a different livery. Quality is about the same, definitely not mil-spec, but I wasn't expecting that for the price. This should work to hide the…

Just what I needed for a day hike - completes my LBE ensemble

Received my bag today. so I haven't had a chance to use it yet. But it looks like it will hold a lot of things. Which brings me to the issue of sizes listed. The product description says "14.8 x 9.8 x 2.3 inches". But that's when the bag is empty and flat. The card that came with the bag says it measures 9" x 8.5" x 6". The bag I received is approximately 9" x 9.5" x 6" when full. In addition to the straps on the front that hold the lid in place. , there are two straps that attach at the back…

Pros
  • Brilliantly made

  • Expensive insurance
