Save and get it right the first time.

The product itself was easy to install. I've just discovered that the rear springs are slightly wider in diameter than the stock springs because they don't quite fit into the top notch of the body. Also, the back is higher than the front. Good as a starting lift. I use 285/75/16 Falken Wildpeak AT3 with minimal front fairing. The dampers work very well. Generally not even bad.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Crumpled

Very satisfied. Drop your Panhard.

Installed on my 99Runner at 269k. Very happy with the results. Coupled it with a Mastercraft MXT 265/75r16 and new balls while I was at it. I've had tires filled with tall stock springs on 1" spacers, but they fit these just fine. They had good flex and a stiffer feel. armor shield.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Easily maintainable

Good lift kit for the money

This product has given me great pleasure to work on my car. Until I started the installation and realized that one of the grommets on the rear shock (lower shock mount) was not big enough for the standard bolt that was supposed to be used to reinstall the shock. Otherwise, the instructions were ok at best without many details. The bottom row gives three stars because I have to tediously drill out the bottom shock eyelet so I can put a standard bolt in it.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Damaged

Great product great lift for the money

I would give the lift itself 5 stars. Great product, great lift for the money. However, do not follow the provided installation instructions without first watching the Rough Country installation video. The video was much more helpful. I had to drill some holes in the spacers to line up the bolts on the strut, replace both ends of the tie rod for damage and try to remove it as shown in the instructions. I ended up buying a tie rod separator for about $15 which was 100 times easier and faster…

Pros
  • delivery was very quick
Cons
  • frequency

Basic but not without a few minor issues

Adapted to 4runner Sr5 2002 2wd. They say it doesn't fit, but it fits. I connected it to new racks. I ran into an issue that some other people had: the mounting screws didn't quite match the spacers, and I also had to rotate the post 180Β° to install it. These issues are not addressed in their instructions or videos. To fix the screw mismatch, I drilled slightly larger holes in the spacer. Just enough to fit them and no more. Turning the rack wasn't difficult. The bottom bracket wasn't aligned…

Pros
  • Lasting finish
Cons
  • Negative impression
