These photos are 48 hours apart. Still green, but much better! Right now I'm filling my tank and there aren't any fish in it so I'm keeping it in the water and not in the filter. That does a great job!

In my 15" above ground pool I put it in the skimmer with the skimmer basket upside down to keep the UV tube down as they float then I set the UV timer to 6am and the pump set to 6am and the next day I vacuumed all the dead algae off the bottom of the pool, another use is to put it in smelly shoes for a few hours to kill the fungus and the bad shoe odor it causes, but do not look near the lamp or leave it on as it can blind and burn you. So be extra careful with all UV lamps.

I had a small white bloom of bacteria which was making the water a bit cloudy. I placed this light in the return chamber of a universal reef tank (Fluval 13.5) overnight and in the morning the water was crystal clear. I didn't take any before and after photos because to be honest I wasted my money trying other things to clean my fish pond.
