Premium Nutrition for Miniature Schnauzer Puppies: Royal Canin Dry Dog Food – 2.5 lb Bag Review

I bought this for my Miniature Schnauzer puppy. I figured since it is specifically for a Miniature Schnauzer it would be good for her. I didn't like the smell of this food, my puppy gasped most of the time when he ate it, the pellets are too small. The ingredients are pretty suspect, just don't trust the company. I switched the food and my puppy is much happier and so am I.

I have just started using this food and have found that the calorie count is lower than other puppy foods which require more food for the animal meaning they will eat the pack faster. While I appreciate the attention given to the Mini, I have a hard time believing that there's a huge difference between the breeds they represent. If it's good for my mini, wouldn't it be good for many other types of bread as well? What am I paying more for?

My parents boxer seemed to love this food and when my Miniature Schnauzer and I visited him for a week he always seemed to dip into Floyd's bowl. Here's the thing, my puppies love it but they love anything remotely good at this age. We can't justify the price for what you get so we feed them while they are puppies you just get a huge bag for half the price and still great quality. We still feed our adult dogs Royal Canin Schnauzer Mix because they love IG so much. They are picky eaters and this keeps them full, and they are healthy.
