Works great and very durable

I've been using it for a year now and the batteries haven't burned out yet. The overall durability of the product is excellent. The only downside to the product is the overall size of the scale, which is a limitation when weighing large boxes. One way to get around this is to place a slightly larger piece of wood or a baking sheet on top of the scale before turning it on. It automatically "tares" the amount to zero, and you can easily place large boxes on it.

Stop working after 8 months

Like the other reviewer, I bought this scale from Sam's Club (because it was a bit cheaper there than Revine). I really liked it - I've calibrated it with different weights and it was very accurate even when I wanted to weigh small items (e.g. 50g calibration weights) while still having enough weight capacity to weigh almost anything to weigh what I needed. I've used it primarily for weighing grain for home brewing in quantities ranging from 1 to 10 pounds. Unfortunately, after 8 months, I…

Generally a good device for home use.

I bought this scale from Sam's Club for $24.62 to replace an old Metler Toledo 8213 shipping scale I used that was made sometime in the 80's and broke. I use this scale to weigh packages of items I sell on eBay. These scales appear to be fairly well made, although they don't measure up to the quality of Metler Toledo's commercial scales (which cost around $500), but they're good enough for home use. The scale works well but the batteries are difficult to insert, read on.

Bought a scale from Sam's Club today and when I brought it home I opened the battery cover and saw that there were high capacity batteries of an unknown brand supplied so I removed them and took out my Revain AAA batteries and tried to put them in.
