Sometimes it works.: Computer and accessories

We have a similar device that we've been using for a few years but I like the way it looks - it's a bit more streamlined. I've tried using this multiple times in different places and it seems that one or two ports work for smaller things like headphones or a phone, but I couldn't charge my iPad with it, and when I tried to charge two phones, only one is calculated. It has buttons to press next to each slot, so you have to turn on each slot to use it. I'm not crazy about lightbulbs on things…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Expensive

Great center! Best Computer Accessories and Peripherals

This hub is perfect for what I wanted. The only thing I haven't read is what kind of cable he has. Luckily I had another cable that I could replace with a dedicated connector on the end of the hub and a USB 3 connector on the other end for my Raspberry Pi. I like the ability to disable unused ports and the fact that it is powered by an external source. Pi can't.

Pros
  • Great Design
Cons
  • Factor Kit

Does not connect printers (IBM or Canon).

Tried to connect IBM Infoprint 1412 and Canon Pixima MG6821 with separate USB-A and USB-B (printer) cables. It doesn't work alone, nor both together. Both will work with a non-powered USB-C hub. Basically a waste of money as that was the main use for the hub.

Pros
  • Wow
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Well built, works great!

Simply a very nice USB hub. Very useful if your computer has a type-C connector. The only downside is that the top is glossy and resistant to fingerprints. Otherwise it's great.

Pros
  • New in my collection
Cons
  • Speed

Could be better Best in Computers & Accessories

Requires a USB hub with on/off per port. One of the buttons only works if you press it firmly. I've found that using a different port causes my mouse to lag. Tested it with a different port and it worked fine. I expected more from it

Pros
  • Speakerphone
Cons
  • boring packaging

Great for connecting multiple devices

Recently bought a new MacBook Pro. I bought this to connect all my external hard drives to it. It works great and has remarkably fast read and write speeds.

Pros
  • Handy part
Cons
  • Very expensive

Great little USB hub

Powered hubs like this are the only hubs I like to use. Without plug-in power, you can overload what the USB bus can handle. So if you use things like external hard drives with a hub, this guy is for you. It has a good finish. It feels like it's a combination of metal and plastic, and the little rubber feet on the base keep it from moving. It's a little light though, so some movement may be inevitable. A nice touch are the little blue LEDs that let you know when a particular port is active when

Works Great!: Computer Accessories & Peripherals

I bought this to charge my home stereo as so many game controllers and peripherals now charge via USB. I had my entire power supply full of USB plugs and didn't want to buy another large power supply. It's great for powering my Alexa dock, my controller charging docks, my fans to cool my stereo, my rock and everything else I own. connected. I don't use this on a PC so I can't confirm data transfer rates and use it solely for charging, but where many USB hubs fail when switched on because they…

Pros
  • Looks Great
Cons
  • Minor Issues

Uses Type-C speeds with usual limits

Don't just need more ports. The reason you might want to take a look at this device is that your USB-C port gives the hub faster speeds, thus providing more bandwidth overall. It's impossible to confirm or disprove this claim without objective measurements, but USB 3.0 speeds were on par on at least three ports. USB 3 is required for some of the audio devices we use. It may not meet your smart charging needs. Like most hubs in this class, the power supply has its own issues: - It's relatively…
