There are a few things I use for cooking in 1/4 cup increments, like brown sugar and oat bran. I couldn't find a suitable 1/4 cup (without buying a whole set of measuring cups) that was small enough to fit in a container. Two measurements of this small but sturdy spoon and I got 1/4 cup. This design was perfect for my needs. I wanted to measure my coffee more evenly than with a standard spoon and wanted something that would fit in my coffee pot. It's just the right size, made in one piece so it's sturdy and easy to clean, with curves and grooves that make it easy to hold and a pleasure to use. It's small, simple, and cheap, but it's one of those things that makes me feel a little bit better every day.

So cute and high quality, I like it! I keep this in my travel essentials for coffee on the go wherever I go. I used it at a friend's today. In my zipped bag was this dipstick, coffee grounds, collapsible dripper, portion of milk jug, collapsible filters, mug and small bottle of torani syrup, all very easily portable, just threw them in a bag and ran out the door! I love when things get easier as I'm a big procrastinator haha! This little guy got it right!

This is a beautiful spoon that makes a great scoop. It seems durable and easy to wash. But the big problem is that the handle is too heavy. This causes the spoon to fall on its side and not stand upright when inserted into the coffee grounds in the coffee container. I've used plastic shovels before and the handles stick out slightly, but the weight of that heavy handle makes it fall into the ground. Very annoying because my fingers touch a lot of bases just to use the shovel.

I inherited some mid-century kitchen containers from my mother. She always used an old red plastic spoon which she must have taken from a coffee can or something because I remember it as a kid. Anyway, I used it to scoop coffee and broke it. It's a bit silly but I felt guilty lol. I needed a replacement and this wonderful little spoon proved to be an excellent choice. It's not cheap at all. good weight Very soft. I like things that seem to last forever. It's one of those things.
