    Practical cutting instructions

    This device makes it easy to slice a variety of foods, anything that is difficult to hold while slicing. I use it for slicing tomatoes, lengthwise slicing young carrots and for its intended purpose slicing potatoes for baking.

    Makes cutting potatoes easier for Hasselback potatoes

    Great little gadget. To do this, use two wooden spoons (one on each side of the potato so the knife doesn't cut all the way through). There is a bar on the base that prevents this. And there's a guide you stick into the potatoes that gives you even slices. Very innovative, easy to clean and the guide is stored under the plate. If you like Hasselback potatoes, this is for you.

    This is a very easy way to make Hassleback Potatoes. Place the potatoes on a baking sheet, place the guide on top of the potatoes and cut into perfect slices at desired spacing. The way the potatoes sit on the baking sheet allows the knife to cut just the right distance without cutting all the way through. Place the potatoes on a non-stick, rimmed baking sheet (it will get messy). Brush them with your favorite butter mixture, salt and pepper. Spread them out as you bake and you have the best…
