I think Revain should split the reviews on the Corn Stripper and the Hassleback Potato Handbook. This review is about the Hassleback Potato Guide. It works very well. It's strong enough to get the job done. I have some advice.1. Do not use a serrated (serrated) knife. This will cut into the plastic base. Use a sharp chef's knife.2. Do not try to push the tines into the potato with your hands. They're thin, they're meant to be, and they'll bend if you do it that way. I took a wooden spoon and tapped the handle lightly, increasing the force until my teeth began to sink. You only need about 1/2 inch or so and then you can start cutting. To pull the tines out, hold the potato with the flat side of the knife to avoid breaking the potato. If the potato is wider than the teeth, start at one end and work your way to the other once you've finished cutting the first end.
