Safety mostly good for mats

I'm partially disabled and going down the ramp in wet weather could be pretty exciting if you're not careful. The Rubber-Cal gave me back my confidence and took away my fear when going downhill in the wet.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Beautiful, thick and durable.

My sister built a ramp for her cute old dog. We chose a rubber mat with horizontal stripes that will give her the traction she needs to climb the incline of her new ramp with ease. Although it's nice and thick, it was easy to trim as it was a bit wider. We just cut the line and you can't tell.

Very disappointed: mats

Bought for a dog ramp. The rubber on the knurled side is so hard it could be hard plastic. No flexibility so my dog literally slides and slides down the ramp. The back of the material is actually less slippery than the corrugated side. I may have to remove and flip it for a better grip to see if I can save the $50+ I spent on it.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • High price

Ideal for ramps - exterior decor

Used for a wooden ramp with a fairly steep incline from the deck. Mainly used to help elderly pets who have difficulty climbing stairs. Only the weight of his body held him in place, even when he was wet without his seat belt buckled. The ribbed construction provides more than enough traction to move up or down. Heavy enough to count on good strength but not too thick to compromise flexibility.

  • Absolute Legend

  • Flimsy

Durable and easy to care for. Very satisfied!

This is just what I need for my garage. In fact, it's such a good rug that I bought another one for my mom's garage. The carpet is made of strong and wear-resistant rubber. Grooves allow you to remove dirt, grass, etc. from the sole of the shoe. Since there is no edge, dirt can be swept off the mat very easily at the same time. We had just covered the floor in the garage so we needed something that would protect the spot where the trash can is and where people tend to shake dirt off their…

the so-called "non-slip " rubber was slippery than ice

This "non-slip" rubber outer mat didn't suit me at all. I installed it on a slightly inclined, varnished wooden ramp. The ramp itself is fine even when wet. It only becomes dangerous after a snowfall. Immediately after laying the mat, I went down the ramp in absolutely dry conditions, slipped and fell?! When I got up I found that even in completely dry conditions the grip between my shoes and the mat was less than on bare ice. I have a hard time comparing my experience to some of the other…

  • Absolutely amazing!

Result squeaks!: Carpets

Bought for a ramp for the disabled. It does its job well, but "something" about it reacts with the soles of my Birkenstocks, and the result is a terrible creaking noise on my hardwood and vinyl floors. The same thing happened to the rubber tires on my walker. My shoes have never squeaked like this in the years I have walked on these floors - this is clearly the result of the floor mats as it started right after installing it on my ramp. I called the manufacturer and they said they never had…
